Lindon Boy

I wanted to do a post about our little man, Lindon.

He is such a funny little boy. I see LOTS of parent/teacher conferences in our future with him for being a class clown. :) He loves to make people laugh. If he does something and gets a laugh out of somebody he will do it all the time. He definitely brings laughter into our house!

He LOVES to wear his shoes ALL THE TIME! Right after he wakes up he points to his shelf where we keep his shoes. Even when he's half asleep in the morning he still points for his shoes and says "shoes!!" HAHA He gets upset when we take his shoes off for his naps even.

If he hears music of any kind he dances right then. Just a few weeks ago he started doing a new dance. He now thrusts his pelvis and moves his hips and butt around in a circle. HAHAHAHA It's SO cute! This gets lots of laughs so he does it all the time.

He's a really good sleeper...if he's tired. If he's not tired he will not go to sleep no matter what. But when he's tired he grabs his blanky, rolls over, and goes right to sleep.

We are so proud of the little man he's becoming. He brings such joy in our lives, and we can't imagine our home without him in it!

Another Year Older... Life is Sweet!

Claire turned 4 on August 14 and Lindon turned 1 on September 2.

Claire had a Barbie birthday. It was great to get the family together. We are so proud of the little girl Claire is becoming. She loves going to Kids Club (a 2 hour daycare for kids at the gym while parents exercise). She loves going to church so she can go to Primary and her Sunday School class. She enjoys dancing and singing, playing with her Barbies and Princesses, and dressing up. She has a great vocabulary. Sometimes too good! :) We are truly blessed to have her in our family.

We didn't have a party for Lindon. I just baked him some cupcakes, and people brought him presents periodically. He is such a sweet little blue eyed blonde haired boy. He is a momma's boy, loves his sister, loves to eat, laugh, and smile. It's such a pleasure to take care of him.

Vacation

We went back to Moody Gardens this year. We had fun, and there were only a few dramatic meltdowns from Claire. ;)

Mother's Day 2010

My Mother's Day was wonderful. Kevin (and the kids) bought me the new Reebok Easy Tone shoes. The primary kids (ages 3-11) get up in front of the congregation and sing on Mother's Day. Claire refused to go, and when I did finally convince her to go up she wanted me to go with her. So she didn't go up. I was bummed a little because it would have been her first time to go up and sing in church. Oh well. There's always next year. :)

In Primary Claire made me a card and some chocolate covered strawberries. All the kids who went up and sang got a rose to give to their mother's, but since Claire didn't go up she didn't get to give me one. After Primary was over she went up to the Primary president and asked if she could have one for her mommy. :) She's so sweet.

I am truly blessed to have such wonderful kids. It's so hard being a mom, but it is SO worth it. I would never trade it for anything. Thanks Claire and Lindon for being so great and Kev for helping me!

After church some friends came over and brought enchiladas. We ate and had fun talking.
