Sneak Peek!

I had some bleeding around 16 weeks so I had to go in for an ultrasound to check for placenta previa or whatever else they could find. The tech was SUPER awesome. She took all her measurements, located the placenta. (I have an anterior placenta, and that is why I hadn't felt the baby yet.) Then she tried to check gender for us. The little thing was tucked up tight in a ball in my right hip the ENTIRE TIME!!!  She couldn't even get a good profile picture of Junebug. We tried for about 20 minutes to flip me on my sides, push on my stomach but with no luck. I was disappointed thinking we would have to wait 4 more weeks.

HOWEVER, the awesome tech told us she only had two more patients, and we could walk around and try eating something so hopefully Junebug would be more cooperative.

It worked! We were able to get some cute profile pictures and find out the gender. Wouldn't you like to know?! Well, sorry it's not going to happen for a few more weeks. I kind of think 16 weeks is a little too early to be 100% sure on gender. So, we decided to not tell the masses until our 20 week ultrasound. I will show you Junebug's cute profile picture. (Cutest nose EVER!)

Uno Mas

After trying to convince Kevin to have another baby for about 6 months he finally agreed. It took us another 6 months of trying, but on October 16 I took a test that came back positive.

Pretty exciting, I know!

I normally only get 1 ultrasound during my pregnancy at 20 weeks, but now that my OB/GYN has an ultrasound machine of his very own in the office I got one at 8 weeks to check viability. It was pretty awesome to be able to see the baby with his/her little arm and leg buds starting to grow. We were able to the heart beating away at 163 bpm, amazing to see!

Our little Junebug!
I was very sick for the first 14-15 weeks of the pregnancy. I ended up losing 21 lbs. Part of the weight loss was because at one point I had a stomach virus along with the morning sickness, and another time I have the flu type A and B. The baby was fine the entire time so I am pretty excited about the weight loss. Hopefully that will help me not be too big in the end!

At my 12 week appointment we were able to hear Junebug's (I'm due June 25. Hence the nickname) heart beat with the doppler. It was 150 bpm. My 16 week appointment is this week. I'm super excited because hopefully I will be able to schedule my 20 week ultrasound!

At the beginning of the pregnancy Kev and I both thought it was a boy, but as the time passes we both are not sure now... It's funny that both of us don't know for sure what the gender is. With Claire Kev knew it was a girl, and with Lindon I knew it was a boy. We both just want a calm happy baby this time around! One that has no attitude and is not attracted to disaster! :) The kids however know what they want, especially Claire. She wants a sister, and Lindon wants a brother. We shall see!
