Baby Movement

A couple weeks ago (at about 12 weeks) I started feeling the baby push up on my stomach. Then last Friday (at 15 weeks) I felt the first like butterfly flutter, like the baby had done a flip or something. Last night as Kevin and I were laying in bed watching Biggest Loser I felt the first kick! He/she was kicking a lot. I told Kev, and he asked if it would be hard enough for him to feel. But as soon as I lifted up my shirt and pulled my pants off my stomach the baby stopped. I guess because I took the pressure off of my stomach. I don't think it was hard enough for Kev to feel anyway.

I am so blessed to be able to feel my babies early. With Claire I was only 14 weeks when I started feeling her. (Normally first time moms feel the baby between 20 and 22 weeks.) It is such a relief to feel this one early since I have been so worried about miscarriage.

My next appointment is about 3 weeks away (April 13). I'm excited because I'll be able to schedule my ultrasound! I've been wanting and thinking this one's a boy, but now I think I want it to be a girl so that Claire will have a sister to play with.

She has such a big imagination. She loves to be different Disney Princesses every day. Yesterday she was Princess Aurora and I was Prince Phillip. Then that night when we were in the bath she was Ariel and I was Flounder. When it was time to get out she said, "OK Flounder but first I have to go to Ursula to get some legs before Prince Eric (Kevin) can come get me." So she "swam" to the other side of the tub and got some legs. :) It was so cute and funny. She is 2 1/2 and she still amazes me everyday. She is so smart and sweet. She seems so much older. Sometimes though she reminds me that she's is just 2. We are working on sharing toys. That lesson is hard. How do you teach a 2 yr old to share?!?! I'll take any suggestions!

Kevin's Birthday Party

Kev's birthday party was fun. My family came over, and we grilled burgers and hot dogs. We also had baked beans and potato salad. Claire got her daddy a Houston Astros Tie, I got Kev a new big jump drive, and my family got Kev and I some IBC Root Beer Astros bottle holders. They are pretty awesome. I think he had a good bday. At least I hope he did.

Dr.'s Appointment & Kev's Birthday

Today was my appointment. I asked the nurse about all my symptoms. She said that everything was probably related to the pregnancy but to talk to Dr Long about passing out. I lost another 3 lbs, so I'm up to 8 lbs lost. That's pretty cool. I'm gonna cry the day I go in and see weight gain. My blood pressure was low also.

I told Dr Long that I had pretty bad vaginal pressure all the time. When he went to check the heart rate he found the baby really low in my abdomen. He said that was why I had the pressure. The heart rate was 145 b/m. It is such an awesome thing to listen to. Claire enjoys hearing it. She tells everyone that the baby says "blump, blump." It's too cute. When we were listening to the HB we could hear the baby kicking and moving around. It made me teary. It's probably just the hormones! ;)

So I told Dr Long about passing out, and he said that he wanted me to keep track of what I eat, when I eat, and what I'm doing when I feel like passing out. He wants to find out if I'm hypoglycemic again or if it's a circulation problem. We'll see...

Kev turned 26 today! Yea. Happy Birthday to Kev/Daddy! I hope today is good for him. My family is coming over with dinner so that we can eat and party! I'll post some pics tomorrow of the festivities.

Rodeo

Saturday Kev and I went to the rodeo in Houston with Kev's boss and his wife. It was my first time to go to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The rodeo part was okay. I actually knew more about it than I thought. Kev asked me a bunch of questions about what was going on, and I think I answer almost all of them correct. ;) If not, oh well, it's not like he'll ever know. :)

The concert part was really good. That was my first concert. I know, I need to live alittle! Trace Adkins was the performer, and he did really good. It's a really good entertainer! Here's pics...

Updates

There isn't really a lot to update about. When I was pregnant with Claire I passed out a few times. That started up in this pregnancy. Last Sunday while Kev was Home Teaching I passed out. It was more traumatic for poor Claire, who was screaming the whole time for Mommy to wake up. Poor thing.

I also spotted all day on Tuesday, I think. I called the doctor's office, and they told me just to take it easy and drink a lot of water. I was suppose to go into the office if it got so bad I had to wear a pantie liner. It was scary. It just bothered me because in the beginning of the pregnancy I was so worried about having a miscarriage.

I also cramp a lot this pregnancy, and I didn't cramp at all with Claire. This pregnancy is SO different. I didn't expect that. So every little thing that is different with this pregnancy scares me.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant today and still sick. I was hoping to feel better after the first trimester. Now I'm losing hope that I won't be sick the whole time like I was with Claire.

I have another appointment with my OB/GYN on Thursday, so I'll update again then!
